"I get all my work from word of mouth."
That's great — and that's also fragile. Word of mouth slows down when your best customer moves away, when a competitor opens up, or when their kid googles you and finds nothing. A website doesn't replace your reputation. It backs it up so the next homeowner who hears your name can actually find you.
"I'm already on Facebook."
Facebook is fine for showing your buddies a finished deck. It's not where people search for a tradesman at 9pm. Google is. And Facebook owns your page — you don't. If they change the rules tomorrow, your business goes with it. A real site on your own domain doesn't.
"My nephew said he'd build me one."
Your nephew is probably a smart kid. But he's got school, a job, a girlfriend, and he's never set up a Google Business Profile or a call tracking number. The preview is free. Show it to him. If he can match it by the weekend, go with family. If you're still waiting in six months, you know where to find me.
"How long until I see leads?"
Honest answer: usually 2-6 weeks for the first calls, faster if your Google Business Profile was already half-set-up. SEO is a slow build, not a switch. That's why the setup fee is refundable if you don't have a lead in 60 days — I'd rather have skin in the game than promise you the moon.
"What if I hate the preview?"
Then you tell me, and we move on. No invoice, no follow-up sales calls, no hard feelings. The preview is yours — delete it, save it, show it to your nephew. It cost you a 30-second form. I'll survive.
"Do I own the domain?"
Yes. The domain is yours. Most common domains (.com, .net, etc.) are covered free — up to $60. If you want something pricier, I'll put $60 toward it and you cover the rest. As long as you're subscribed, renewals are on me. If you ever cancel, you can take the domain with you — transfer it to any registrar you want for a $50 transfer fee.
